Buddha Air, the pioneer of the domestic air operator in Nepal has scheduled to initiate its commercial flight operation from Kathmandu to Janakpur with its ATR 72-500 aircraft. The airline will begin its flights from Kathmandu to Janakpur with ATR 72 aircraft from 1st of November of this year.
As per the information received, Buddha will be conducting two flights a day to Janakpur with its ATR 72 and Beechcraft aircraft starting from 1st November. Till 1st Nov. the airline will be conducting two flights to Janakpur daily with ATR 42 and Beechcraft 1900D. After then ATR-42 will be replaced by ATR-72 with the reason that ATR-72 is more comfortable and feasible for Janakpur sector.
The company currently charges Rs.3950 for Kathmandu to Janakpur flights where lower fares could be also available. Passengers can contact Buddha Air or use their mobile app for flight bookings.
At present Buddha Air owns two Beechcraft 1900D, three ATR 42-320, and four ATR 72-500 aircraft.
The airline currently conducts scheduled flights to Biratnagar, Bhairahawa, Dhangadhi, Janakpur, Nepalgunj, Pokhara, Simara, Tumlingtar, Bhadrapur and Bharatpur. It also operates one-hour-long Mountain sightseeing flights with its Beechcraft 1900D.
