Aviation Fuel Price In Nepal: Still Three Times More Costly

Recently, National Flag Carrier of Nepal, Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC), has cried out for the assistment of Ministry of Culture , Tourism and Civil Aviation for the decrement of Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) Price in Nepal.
As reported by the NAC, the expensive cost of ATF has hampered its competitive ability infront of other international airliners causing its flight fare to be at the peak due to costly fuel.
According to the recent report revealed by the corporation, It had bought aviation fuel from Malaysia for Nrs.37.99 per litre whereas from Nepal for Nrs. 106.85 per litre. This clearly illustrates that the aviation fuel price in Nepal is three times more expensive than other destinations of NAC.
Nepal Oil Corporation(NOC) has kept sole profit of Nrs 25 in every litre of ATF exclusive of VAT and other taxes.
