An ARFF (Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting) press meet was conducted at Kathmandu on Sunday. The meeting included various reporters from different media hubs along with the biggies of CAAN, TIA, and Aviation Fire Fighters from the different regional airport. In the meeting, ARFF presented its objective, goals, and aim of International Conference and Exhibition 2017 which is scheduled on 16th and 17th August, this year.
First time in the history of Nepalese Aviation industry, ARFF International Conference and Exhibition has been scheduled in Nepal. The Seminar is jointly being organized by ARFFWG (Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting Working Group), Asia Pacific Region, Nepal Rescue and Firefighting Association and will be supported by Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil aviation, Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) along with Nepal Tourism Board and various other organization has sponsored on this conference. The total budget allocated for the conference is approx. 5 Million Nepalese Rupee. In total, around 180 people will attain the conference internationally and nationally.
The main motto of NRFFA is to enhance the fire prevention activities and ensure the fire protection safety and rescue service in Aviation Sector. NRFFA is one of the active organizational members of ARFFWG which is renowned as an international organization dedicated to sharing ARFF information between airport firefighters, municipal fire departments and all the others concerned with aircraft fire fighting and rescue operation.
