In a statement, Doug Kreulen, president and CEO of Nashville International Airport, said, “Tampa is a significant and expanding market both for business and leisure.” “We are grateful to our American Airlines business associates for assisting us through our restoration from disease outbreak lows to new depths of traveler movement at BNA.”

As per Nashville Business Journal data, American Airlines seems to be the third-largest carrier servicing Nashville. In the 12 months concluding in June 2020, 1.4 million travelers flew via BNA.
