The awaited Airbus AS 350 B3e (H-125) Helicopter with Nepalese Registration of ‘9N-AMS’ has landed on the east helipad of Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).
The Helicopter was dispatched from Airbus Helicopter Southeast Asia, Singapore on 29th August and Land Nepal via transiting in Surat Thani of Thailand, Yangon in Myanmar, and Dhaka in Bangladesh following Biratnagar in Eastern Nepal, today. Captain Sobit Gauchan, Operation Director for Altitude Air and Captain Nischal K.C has commended the ferry flight from Singapore outbound for Kathmandu along with the Maintenance Manager Mr. Anirudra Shrestha.
The aircraft is a new version of the AS 350 B3e (H-125) series with fully integrated Glass Cockpit and which provides flight information and safety. The aircraft is a single engine light helicopter especially suits for luxury travel as it is quite comfortable. The aircraft is also popular for speed, performance and reliability. So, it is estimated to be very useful for corporate uses, as an air ambulance for medical evacuation uses, etc. The chopper has three main rotor blade with Turbomeca Arriel 2B turboshaft, 632 kW (847 shp) engine.
The respective company is a very young company established on 2016 which has fastened its seat belt to debut in Nepal aviation industry introducing European manufactured helicopter AS 350 B3e, which seems very efficient for the country like Nepal where most active companies are operating their flights with same series of helicopters and is on the pipeline to add on the existing fleet at present.
