Altitude Air conducted demonstration flight at Everest-Makalu region with Koala helicopter

Altitude Air has conducted a demonstration flight of Augusta Westland Koala AW119 helicopter at the Everest-Makalu region today. The Koala helicopter took from the TIA’s eastern helipad at 7:15 am today. Captain Oliva and Co-pilot Simoni Moro from Italy are the test pilots for the Koala helicopter.
The helicopter also conducted the demo flights to Dhaulagiri and Annapurna mountains from Pokhara airport on 2nd and 3rd April respectively.
Altitude had started the demonstration flight on 24 March by flying to Lukla and till date already has operated its experimental flights to Lukla, Namche Bazzar, Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and Everest region.
The Italian engineering team is working on the test reports on the basis of the Koala’s performance in Nepalese sky.
Altitude air plans to conduct the demonstration flight of the Koala series helicopter to the various region of Nepal till 14 April and will finalize the performance report of the helicopter on 15 April.
Koala helicopter has been used for sightseeing and rescue operations in the hilly region of the country for the demonstration test.
Altitude Air currently conducts its flight operation with an Airbus AS 350 B3e helicopter and plans to add two Koala series helicopter to its fleet after the success of the demonstration flight.
