A commercial aircraft is a vehicle proficient of supporting itself aerodynamically and economically at the same duration. Making that statement true is the Bombardier CRJ-200 belonging to Saurya Airlines that not only feeds itself but also the company as well. Cited the fastest and reliable, the company is one of its kinds as it is the first jet airliner in the country bringing new era of jet airplanes and instigating the idea among other airline companies.
History and Introduction
Saurya Airlines is a newly established airline company providing air service by jet plane. The airliner was established in 2014 and started its operations from 17th of November, 2014 through a 50-seater Bombardier CRJ-200 to serve in the domestic routes that include Dhangadi, Nepalgunj, Biratnagar and Bhadrapur including the condution of mountain flights too.
The airline company is regarded as the fastest air service in comparison to other airliners mostly because of the presence of jet aircraft while other airline companies of Nepal comprise aircraft of propeller type.
Incidents occurred
No fatal accidents have taken place in regard to the airline company and the aircraft but some minor incidents have taken place including failure of Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) of the aircraft due to which the aircraft was grounded for 10 days. Since, the airliner consists only one of the jet plane, the grounding hampered its services all around the country.
Future Plan
The airline company aims to bring in another of the Bombardier CRJ-200 increasing its fleet while resuming air service to Bhairahawa as well.
