Nepal Association of Travel and Tour Agents (NATTA) and airlines companies of Nepal have planned to work together by forming a team.
The meeting between two organizations was held on Wednesday (August 29) and decided to enhance and deliver their services effectively by diminishing the difficulties faced by both parties. In the meeting, there was a discussion that the landing charge should be discounted and fuel should be provided at a reasonable price.
The team will make a decision to solve the problem by discussing the issues with Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation (MoCTCA), Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), Department of Immigration and Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN).
The team alleged that the government should facilitate airlines companies in order to meet the target of welcoming 2million tourists by 2020 as the government plans to celebrate ‘Visit Nepal Year 2020′ to attract more tourists to the country.
Mr. Ramesh Thapa, General Secretary of NATTA urged that the airlines’ representatives share information about the discount on tickets and various exhibitions through NATTA’s E-bulletin.
The organization has planned to conduct ‘Buddhist Tourism Expo’ this year. He also said that the airline companies should support NATTA to conduct the expo successfully.
NATTA was established 52 years ago with the aim of solving every problem related to travels and expanding the tourism industries in Nepal. The organization has been working on developing travel and trade business by promoting and protects the tourists from exploitation by unreliable agents.
