The Bed Upreti Trust’s giant aircraft museum at Sinamangal is in final phase of completion. Bed Upreti Trust, owner of the only aircraft museum of Nepal had bought the crashed Airbus A330-300 aircraft of Turkish Airlines for constructing the second aircraft museum in the country. The trust has already established a Fokker 100 aircraft museum in Dhangadi and now is working on to start the second museum.

The second marvelous aircraft museum is under construction from a wide body jet and will be operated in Kathmandu. Trust has leased space close to Tribhuwan International Airport for the museum site and the space is owned by Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal.

Previously overall aircraft structure was dismantled for transporting it to the projected site and the assembling process of the dismantled aircraft parts of the Airbus A330-300 is ongoing in the museum site.  Wings, landing gears, fuselage, tail and cockpit are being reassembled. The engineers and workers are concentrated on their job to produce an attractive and marvelous aircraft museum. Currently, the painting and livery work is on the progress and will be completed by next two weeks.

The museum will possess a flight simulator; will feature 300 variety models of aircraft along with the aerial photo gallery. “It will be the huge attraction for tourists, students and aviation enthusiasts”, reported a worker at the project site. The trust had earlier transformed Fokker 100 aircraft of Cosmic Air into a museum in Dhangadi.
