Air New Zealand wins the world’s best airline award for fifth year in a row

AirlineRatings.com, the world’s best one-stop airline safety and product rating review website has announced world’s top 10 airlines for 2018 according to its Airline Excellence Awards. The website developed its unique seven-star rating system after two years of evaluation in collaboration with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

Air New Zealand has bagged the top “airline of the year award” followed by Qantas, Singapore Airlines, Virgin Australia, Virgin Atlantic, Etihad Airways, Nippon Airways, Korean Air, Cathay Pacific and Japan Airlines.

This is a fifth year in a row for Air New Zealand winning the airline of the year award. The airline was able to achieve the milestone due to its continuation in record-breaking financial performance, in-flight innovations, environmental leadership, young fleet and motivation of its staff.

Singapore Airlines grasped the “Airline with the best first class” award whereas Virgin Atlantic won the “Best Business Class” category. Air New Zealand conquered the “Best Premium Economy” award while Korean Air won “Best Economy Airline” award.

Singapore Airlines won “Best Cabin Crew” award with the outstanding commitment to service from Singapore Girl. Likewise, Qantas Airways received “Best Catering Services” and “Best Lounges” award. Emirates on the other hand bagged the “Best In-Flight Entertainment” award. Similarly, the AirlineRatings.com has awarded other airlines via various categories.

AirlineRatings.com has considered numerous factors for revealing top airlines around the world including fleet age, passenger review ratings, profitability, investment rating and key product offerings such as premium economy on long-haul routes and seating options in other classes and operational safety.
