Additional 1800 Aircraft Essential For India: Boeing Market Study

The recent market study conducted by American aircraft manufacturer Boeing concluded that India’s growing aviation industry requires 1800 aircraft within 2 decades inorder to handle rapid increasing passenger numbers.

As reported, the total aircraft value would stand at around USD 20,000 crore. A senior vice chairman at Boeing, Mr. Dinesh Keskar asserted that India has been giving continuity to strong commercial aviation market and it is the only country where there is largest density of domestic passengers. Boeing has also been indulging on manufacturing fuel efficient aircraft that would meet future prerequisites of Indian aviation industry. According to him, minimum fuel price and high passenger density are major contributor for the prosperity of aviation industry.

The research of Boeing claims that within 2 decades 1,560 narrow body aircraft and rest wide body aircraft are likely to fly in Indian sky.
