Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA): Flights halted, due to extreme cross wind
14 April 2016, Today – The Solo International Airport, Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) suffered massive cross wind since 3: 15PM ( Nepal Local Time), resulting the diversion and on hold of flights.
As per the flightradar24, Flydubai Boeing 737-8KN, bearing A6-FEZ had diverted to Lukhnow, which was inbound from Dubai to Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) Kathmandu, Nepal and Air AsiaX Airbus A330-343, on registration 9M-XXE that was airborne from Malaysia, imposed to divert Calcutta, India.
Up until now, the following Flights are imposed to hold on air, due to extreme cross wind that produced at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu.

China Eastern Boeing 737-79P B-5816
Jet Airways Boeing 737-8FH VT-JGF
As per the source: the wind velocity is 14knots at 220 degree around the TIA, which apparently halting all landings at TIA “both International and Domestic flight”. However, it has no any effect on take off from Tribhuvan International Airport TIA.
