Bomb Threat Call: Air India AI 516 flight checked.
Air India AI-516 routed to New Delhi – Moscow flight which arrived in panaji from Delhi on Sunday was checked for bombs after evacuating 100 passengers including 7 crew members – the phone call received by police which claimed about the bomb planted on aircraft, this emergency action was taken.
The person who informed police regarding bomb planted on aircraft has been identified as bidesh shing. The police along with the bomb disposal team were set on the airport for the rescue purpose after they received such phone call.
“There were 89 domestic and 4 international passenger on board and it was flying to Goa” a senior Airports Authority of India (AAI) official told.
