Single Engine Aircraft banned to carry passenger:Tourism Minister.
Feb 26, The Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Ananda Prasad Pokharel have banned Single Engine Aircraft to carry passengers.
After the unfortunate crash of Air Kasthamandap 9N-AJB, while making an emergency landing in Chilkhaya of Kalikot of mid-western Nepal on Friday. Pokhrel said “carrying passengers by single engine aircraft is strictly prohibited until the technical reports of 9N-AJB comes.”
The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal had already restricted the domestic cargo carrier single engine aircraft to carry the passengers on them. An action was made by the Authority of Nepal to the Airlines bearing single engine such as Sita Air and Air Kasthamandap, limiting them to carry domestic cargo only.
