License of 14 Y-12e NAC pilots Expired
According to the source: The pilots who were flying NAC (Nepal Airlines Cooperation) Y-12e aircraft, apparently failed on their licensing process , 14 Pilots including Four Captain and rest Co- pilots flying permit were not renewed for two months. The reason for this cause as according to ministry of culture tourism and civil Ministry’s spoke person is that it does not meet the criteria for the renewal process. According to him since two month in the absence of IP (Instructor Pilot), the aircraft Y-12e has not done single flight, which apparently lacks enough flying hours experience to meet the renewal criteria.
On addition as per the Ministry Sources it’s been one and half year since Y-12e has been operated by NAC and yet now they have not able to produce single IP (Instructor Pilot) and neither have a skilled pilot to fly Y-12e and these are the ultimate reason for 14 Pilot’s being failed on their licensing process at a time.
