Singapore Airlines Celebrate its 50th year of Independence: Bonus to all SIA employees
In occasion of Singapore’s Golden Jubilee year, Singapore Airlines on July 15 announced that all of its 18,500 employees be awarded with a bonus of S$500.
The special one-time bonus is meant to be handed next month, to all Singapore-based employees below the rank of senior vice-president. In its own e-mail service run by the SIA, the airlines expressed to its staffs and crew members that the company’s network has reached to the global/wide boundaries. The email read “Our success and growth through the years are closely linked to that of our home, Singapore. As we rejoice and celebrate SG50, Singapore’s Golden Jubilee year, we take this opportunity to express our appreciation to all our staff and unions for their support over the years.”
To celebrate this event, the airlines conducted series of events including live performances, charity flights, art and drawing competitions, etc.
