Flock Of Crows And Eagles Halted The Tribhuvan International Airport
Today, the Nation’s sole Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) has been halted when the flock of birds (Crows and Eagles) flew over the runway for fetching earthworms lying on the runway.
The incident took place at around 4 pm. Due to birds, the airport has to be shutdown that affected several international and domestic flights.
It has been reported that the fire brigades needed to sweep away the worms from the runway using stream flow of water. TIA was shutdown for 30 minutes until the number of birds decreased. Two domestic flights were diverted whereas three international flights were kept on hold until the situation returned to normal.
