United Airlines left passengers ‘stranded’ in a military barracks
Many complains and frustration were filed by the passengers of United Airlines on social media sites Saturday after their flight from Chicago to London was diverted to Goose Bay, Canadian military base.
According to the captain of United Airlines flight 958, the rear empennage section was making unnecessary vibration, and as a precaution diverted towards Goose Bay for safe landing. The passengers were shortly informed stating the flight will be delayed and they will be staying in the base.
Lack of hotels and 20-hours stay in the base with no communication with flight crew after landing, made the matter worse. The stranded passengers had no idea what was going on, because there were no united representatives to talk.
