Today Sichuan Airlines, a Chinese Airline Company, has conducted its first commercial flight to Nepal from Lhasa, China with its Airbus 319. Currently, Sichuan has 93 aircraft on its fleet comprising Airbus 330, Airbus 320, and Airbus 319.
Sichuan Airlines Airbus 319 had touchdown Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) at around 1:00 pm and took off from TIA at around 2:00 pm. With the increase in the number of passengers coming from China to Nepal, several Chinese companies have been attracted to conducting their flights to Nepal. With the addition of Sichuan Airlines flight to Nepal at present, four Chinese company Air China, China Southern, China Eastern, and Sichuan Airlines serve Nepal.
According to Air Service Agreement (ASA) between China & Nepal, this year 63 flights per week are allowed to be conducted by airlines of China whereas, In 2016, it will reach 70 per week.
