American Airlines flights to Rome
No airlines connect the United States and Rome daily during the summer season as much as American Airlines. The carrier offers the highest daily summer connections between the US and Rome by operating routes from five US airports. Apart from DFW, the carrier also serves Fiumicino Airport from its hubs in New York, JFK, Chicago, Charlotte, and Philadelphia.
The additional frequency on the DFW-FCO route means AA will offer up to 7 daily flights to Rome next summer. This is the highest number of AA flights to Italy’s capital. Furthermore, this makes Rome-Fiumicino Airport the second most-served airport in AA’s European route network. During peak summer 2023, American Airlines will sell 519 passenger seats daily on the Dallas-Rome route in each direction.
In 5 years, from May 2017 to July 2022, AA carried over 330,000 Dallas-Rome round-trip passengers. The carrier had an average seat load factor of 74% on this route during this time frame.
London Heathrow remains AA’s most-served EU airport.
The most significant European base of American Airlines is London Heathrow Airport (LHR), the iconic global hub in the UK. The airline serves LHR from several US airports in Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, DFW, Los Angeles, New York-JFK, Seattle, etc. London Heathrow is AA’s most-served EU airport as the carrier connects LHR directly from 11 US airports.

AA will operate additional flights from Miami next summer to further bolster its presence in LHR. It will also bring the Seattle Tacoma-London Heathrow route back into service in 2023. Another summer 2023 offerings
Coinciding with its new DFW-FCO service, American Airlines is increasing its flight frequency from Dallas to Paris (CDG) starting June 5. Five months from now, Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport will see double daily service from Dallas via AA.
In addition to increasing frequencies on several routes, AA is excited to resume its pandemic-axed routes from 2023. The year 2023 will see AA’s several international routes (suspended due to the pandemic and aircraft delivery delay) back into its network. The carrier will restart its services on several routes, including:
