Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has requested CAAN to provide the ground handling work for the upcoming Pokhara International Airport. Corporation requested the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal to hand over the ground handling work of Pokhara International Airport.
Nepal Airlines has been operating the ground handling of Tribhuvan International Airport and Gautam Buddha International Airport.
It is mentioned in the statement released today by the Corporation that the ground handling work should be given to NAC due to their long managerial experience, skilled manpower, and the availability of necessary technical resources.
It has been said, ‘The ground handling service of the corporation has been certified by the international standard ‘IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operation.’
Likewise, the Corporation has requested the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation and the authorities to continue operating the reduced flights as per the ‘flight permission’ and arrange additional flights to other destinations as required.
