Tribhuvan International Airport has stopped the Nepal Airlines Delhi flight

Tribhuvan International Airport has halted Nepal Airlines A330 Flight RA-217, which was set to fly to New Delhi, India, with 254 passengers. General Manager of Tribhuvan International Airport Premnath Thakur stopped the flight on Sunday, according to Ramesh Paudel, Deputy Director of the Corporation. Stating that the schedule of international flights approved by the Civil Aviation Authority for the winter period (October 30 to March 27) has been reduced.

Paudel said that the Authority asked Nepal Airlines and Himalaya Airlines to start flights from Bhairahawa as well, but because they did not have a schedule there due to a lack of passengers, the Authority cut down two flights from Kathmandu to Delhi every seven days in the afternoon.

Thakur, the general manager of the airport, said that the corporation’s flight had to be stopped because passengers were boarding without permission. “Why has the corporation sold tickets without taking flight permission from the Authority?

According to him, Nepal Airlines had already sold Sunday tickets to 273 customers. He said that he halted when he saw that boarding passes were being provided and that 73 people had obtained them and passed through security.

Deputy Director Paudel accused the Authority of allowing 21 flights a week to Indian Airlines to sink the corporation and to feed Indian Airlines for someone’s interest. He said that it is not possible to go to Bhairahawa, where there is no business.
