A private aircraft crashed into a building in Italy

Eight people were killed when a private aircraft crashed in Italy on Sunday.

According to The Guardian, the single-engine Pilatus PC-12 crashed into a building shortly after takeoff from Milan’s Linate Airport Sunday afternoon. There were six passengers and two crew members on board. Witnesses said the aircraft caught fire before it crashed into an empty building.

Officials in Milan say the pilot did not report any danger before the crash.
Italian media have reported that two wealthy families from Romania and Italy died in the crash.

One of Romania’s richest men, Dan Petrescu, 68, has died, along with his wife and son. Italian businessman Filippo Nassimbene, his wife, and their young child were also killed.
According to officials, the aircraft arrived in Milan from Bucharest, Romania, on September 30. There was no problem with the aircraft at that time.
