Air Canada reveals the unique livery in conjunction with the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The new livery on Air Canada’s three-and-a-half-year-old Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner C-FVLQ has the slogans “FLY THE FLAG,” “HAUT LE DRAPEAU,” and “GO CANADA GO.”

The aircraft is scheduled to travel the Tokyo Narita flight in its entirety, symbolizing Canada.

About the slogan
The livery incorporates both English and French, with both the phrase “FLY THE FLAG” written in strong black and gold lettering on the left side. On the aircraft’s right-hand side, the word “HAUT LE DRAPEAU” is displayed. Furthermore, “GO CANADA GO” is inscribed in gold underneath each prominent label on the fuselage’s bottom aft portions.
C-FVLQ Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner
Air Canada’s Boeing 787-9 MSN 38357 is a three-and-a-half-year-old aircraft delivered on January 15, 2018. The aircraft is equipped with three seating classes: 30 business class seats, 21 premium economy seats, and 247 economy class seats. Two GEnx-1B engines power the aircraft.
Olympic Special Liveries
Torch livery
ANA and JAL collaborated with the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and debuted the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Torch Livery in 2019.
A substantial golden “TOKYO 2020 OLYMPIC TORCH RELAY” word was placed in the fuselage’s center, flanked by a smaller “Hope Lights Our Way” label. The livery included the ANA and JAL logos on the front and those of the Tokyo Olympics and the Olympic circles on the tail.

JAL’s Boeing 767-300ER and Boeing 777-200 were painted with the tagline “Everyone’s 2020 Jet,” supporting the Tokyo Olympics. Additionally, there were liveries for the Tokyo Olympics mascots. Where ANA Boeing 777-200ER painted a livery with the slogan “HELLO 2020.”
