The turboprops took off from Toulouse, France, arriving in Heraklion, Greece, after four hours and 40 minutes on its first leg. The aircraft then departed Heraklion bound to Sharm al-sheik Airport in Egypt on a two-and-a-half-hour ferry.

The plane then arrived at Dubai World Central Airport (DWC) after a journey of nearly five hours from Egypt. The final leg took off from DWC, arriving in New Delhi after a five-and-a-half-hour flight.

So far, the low-cost carrier has taken delivery of 27 ATRs. In addition, IndiGo placed an order for 50 ATR 72s in a move to boost connectivity to smaller towns. All of these turboprops are configured in an all-economy configuration with 78 seats.
