Special COVID-19 insurance coverage for passengers
Last month, the carrier stated that most of its flights would be handled by fully vaccinated crew members, including pilots and cabin crew. Since December 2020, the airline has begun an internal vaccination program for its operational crew and frontline personnel.
It, therefore, is pleased to become one of the first airlines throughout the globe to be capable of offering calmness to all customers traveling to any location on its expanding network. Additionally, Gulf Air has stated that it provides free COVID-19 travel health coverage to all season tickets, covering health and quarantine costs in the unlikely event that passengers are infected with or acquire COVID-19 during their travels. Most tickets purchased on Gulf Air flights, mainly redeemed tickets for travel between May 10 and November 10, 2021, have been fully protected by COVID-19 insurance at no additional cost. According to recently disclosed insurance coverage, all travelers will be reimbursed for repatriate support, healthcare, and hospital expenses overseas, and quarantine accommodation fees in the sad case of just being confirmed with COVID-19 when visiting abroad. Coverage is valid on Gulf Air-operated flights having Gulf Air ticket numbers bought via the airline’s website, contact center, sales offices, or travel agencies.
