NATTA expressed its deep concern on CAAN directive for photo identification in PCR report

About the new standards of passenger arrival to Nepal, NATTA issues a press release today and expressed its deep concern regarding the recent Notice of negative RT- PCR Report with photo identification issued by the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN).

NATTA said that the standard rule of Passengers having the negative RT-PCR Report with their photo identification in the Report appears overgoing. NATTA added that there is no provision of providing the PCR Report with photo identification in foreign countries, and such rules may complicate travelers and increase the probability of being restricted in visiting Nepal due to the extended direction.

Likewise, in the given standard, there is no easiness mentioned for the fully vaccinated travelers.
This concern has been approached by several travelers willing to travel to Nepal, and NATTA is voicing on behalf of them. NATTA said standards issued by the Government are taking the precaution to control the spread of the Virus. Still, specific designated rules may complicate the passengers to travel to the country.
NATTA demands that the Government have to ease the standards for travelers willing to travel to Nepal with only a negative RT-PCR Report within 72 hours and no compulsion of quarantine for fully vaccinated travelers (Nepalese/Foreigner).
NATTA has requested Nepal Government to permit international airlines for additional regular flights following the situation.
