The Nepal Army has started airlifting oxygen to Kathmandu from other states as there is a shortage of oxygen in Kathmandu.
The empty cylinders have been brought to Biratnagar Airport and filled from Sunsari-Morang Industries. There are five oxygen industries in the Sunsari-Morang Industrial Corridor.
For the first time, 150 oxygen cylinders collected from Sankhuwasabha were loaded at Sunsari’s Himal, Maruti, and Durga oxygen plants and sent to Kathmandu in a truck. Similarly, an army aircraft had brought 60 empty cylinders last Thursday.
According to military sources, 60 cylinders were taken to Bhairahawa by an army aircraft on Saturday.
