Another ATR 72 is joining the fleet of Buddha Air, making a total fleet size of 15. The 10.5-year-old ATR 72-500 (72-212A) MSN 933 departed Toulouse on May 18, 2021, via Heraklion and is scheduled to arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu tomorrow at 18:25 local time. This aircraft was previously operated by Jet Airways and registered as VT-JCW, but it was removed from service in May 2019 and is now stored as M-IBAR, owned by Injet leasing company.
The aircraft arrived in Muscat today at 17:26 local time and will land in Nepal via Delhi with international registration, with the ensuing Nepal registration phase taking place in Nepal. According to the source, the aircraft will be ready for commercial flights in one month.
