With the arrival of the new aircraft, Buddha Air is expanding its aggressive market. Apart from Kathmandu, flights have been scheduled from Biratnagar, Bhairahawa, and Janakpur in the morning. After the addition of new ATR aircraft, Buddha Air has 9 ATR-72s, 3 ATR-42s, and 2 Beechcraft, making the fleet size of 14.
Aggressive market expansion is expected to make the airspace, which has been weakened following the COVID-19. Accordingly, Buddha Air has already made 100 flights and landings daily. “Now we will fly more than 100 flights a day,” says Rupesh Joshi, Buddha Air Marketing Sales Director.
According to Rupesh Joshi, Director of Marketing Sales, nine daily flights to Pokhara, eight daily flights to Biratnagar, 6 daily flights to Bhairahawa, 6 daily flights to Simara, 5 daily flights to Bharatpur, 5 daily flights to Janakpur, and four daily flights to Nepalgunj.” Buddha Air said that it would expand its flights to other destinations depending on the passengers.
This allows passengers to travel by air at a convenient time. Moreover, passengers in the corporate business sector can reach different destinations one day.
“The added aircraft will make it easier for us to do regular aircraft maintenance,” said Joshi.
Buddha Air currently flies to Bhadrapur, Tumlingtar, Biratnagar, Rajbiraj, Janakpur, Simara, Bharatpur, Pokhara, Bhairahawa, Nepalgunj, Surkhet, and Dhangadhi. Apart from these, it is also operating mountain flights from Kathmandu and Pokhara.
