Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) is scheduled to restart its regular flight service to India from Thursday, December 17.
A flight to Delhi, India, would depart from Tribhuvan International Airport at 11:20 AM every day. Both protection procedures will be implemented during flights to suppress the COVID-19 spread, as per the NAC.
Nepali flag carrier Nepal Airlines and Indian flag carrier Air India would fly from Kathmandu to Delhi one day each. Nepal Airlines announced that from December 17, tickets were opened for the Kathmandu-Delhi flight. These two government flag carriers (Nepal Airlines and Indian Airlines) approved by both countries will carry only Indian and Nepali people from one destination to one destination.

Since March, all international flights have been suspended following the COVID-19 pandemic. For more than five months, the operation restarted. While the government agreed to restart daily international flights with effect from September, the suspension of flights between the two countries was not abolished as cases of COVID-19 in India.
On November 25, a committee of the Council of Ministers acknowledged India’s ‘air bubble model’ about the continuance of flights between the two countries.
