Singapore Airlines resumes the world’s longest scheduled commercial flight from Singapore to Newyork with its A350-900 Aircraft. The 18 hours long journey flight will resume from next month. The aircraft would land at John F. Kennedy International Airport, rather than Newark Airport, by a rise of 2 miles as before. The airlines have halted its world’s longest flights from March 25th following the outbreak. The world’s longest flights starting from November 9th will fly 9,536 miles for JFK airport.
On the route, the carrier will be using the long-range Airbus A350-900. The aircraft is equipped with 42 Business Class, 24 Premium Economic Class, and 187 Economic Class seats. Presently, flyers from the USA are not permitted in Singapore but can transit via Changi Airport, Singapore. From here on, SQ24 would fly three days a week from Singapore Airport to John F. Kennedy International Airport from and to Los Angeles. The SQ23 is to fly from John F. Kennedy International Airport to Singapore Changi Airport three days a week through November 11th, 2020.
SIA also expects a substantial market for cargo from various New York-based companies involving pharmacy and e-commerce companies and technology companies. The current service operates the first non-stop air freight airline in the United States. Northeast to Singapore, where many significant US-based businesses have a global distribution warehouse.
Most doubt, unless the carrier can bring large volumes of freight, the overall distance get the airline to be limited. Fair enough, aggravated by the fact that mostly one way from the Airbus A350-900ULR to the standard Airbus A350, the airline decides to change the type of aircraft. This aircraft can provide greater passenger capacity, making it less desirable for freight flights and short-range than the A350-900ULR. This route is second after Los Angeles during the pandemic.
