American Airlines will fly a Boeing 787-8 at Daxing Airport in March 2021. American Airlines, a member of the Oneworld Alliance, has confirmed that it would fly the first flight from March 27 to PKX airport. From Dallas Forth Worth International Airport (DFW) to Daxing, the regular service will begin with an introductory one-way economy fare beginning from $890. Airlines has announced that tickets can be purchased from October 12.
American Airlines and Delta Airlines will fly from Daxing, and United Airlines will maintain its service to Beijing Capital (PEK) airport. On March 28, Delta was scheduled to fly Daxing, but its return to Beijing still has to be set. The SkyTeam Alliance carrier restores flights to Shanghai Pudong (PVG) in June. In the initial periods of the coronavirus epidemic in February, American, Delta and United halted services to Beijing.
In September 2019, Beijing Daxing was established. It will accommodate 72 million passengers per annum with the primary contact gate for 79 airplanes with a substantial new star-shaped terminal constructed by Zaha Hadid Architects. The outbreak of Covid-19 led the air travel to fall, which destroyed the aviation industry. Douglas M. Steemland appointed as Board of Directors
At the age of 69, Douglas M. Steemland, selected to the board of directors, will work on the organization’s financing and compensation boards. Steenland is also the non-executive chairman of the American International Group’s board of directors and acts as Hilton Worldwide Holdings’ lead independent director. Steenland has held several senior roles at Northwest Airlines Corporate throughout his 17-year career.
