Government to resume regular flights to Gulf countries

Starting from October 1, the government to resume regular flights to Doha, Qatar, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait.

Previously, such countries did not have regular flights since PCR testing was not convenient. Only chartered and rescue services are operating in those countries.

The Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation has publicly disclosed the schedule for regular flights from the Gulf countries for October.

Ministry of Tourism Secretary Kedar Bahadur Adhikari announced that daily flights to Doha, Riyadh, and Kuwait are now being operated.

International flights from such countries were decided by the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN). Secretary Adhikari said through social media that there has been a rise in the number of international flights to the three countries and that daily flights to established destinations would proceed.

According to the flight timetable, there will be 109 flights for October over 25 days. Again for October, up to 15 daily flights are permitted.

As per the proposed flight schedule, narrow-body and wide-body aircraft of Nepal Airlines and Himalayan Airlines would fly to Doha. Jazira Airways will conduct services from Kuwait, and regular flights through Riyadh will be served by Himalayan Airlines.

The ministry had previously made public the flight schedule for September.
