On 13 August 2020, Himalaya Airlines, a joint venture between Nepal and China, received the coveted ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems (QMS) certificate from URS. The certification demonstrates the expertise of Himalaya Airlines in offering Aircraft maintenance and Technical facilities following the Carrier’s goal to provide the best possible quality in any field of its operation. ISO 9001:2015 is an internationally recognized quality management standard that has been established and issued by the International Organization for Standardization ( ISO) to ensure that the services fulfill customer requirements via an integrated quality management framework.
Himalaya Airlines claimed to work for accreditations ISO 9001:2015 shows its capacity to regularly provide goods and services that satisfy consumer and regulatory criteria. To comply with ISO 9001:2015, the Himalaya team conducted a thorough company-wide assessment that involved implementing the quality control system, evidence analysis of the management framework, pre-audit, initial evaluation, and non-compliance clearance.

The Carriers just signed a memorandum of understanding last month with Malaysia Airlines Berhad (MH), despite the qualification. MH recognize by its capability and current airframe and engine technical and surplus support services facilities, including line & base maintenance, Warehouse, and spare support services. With such a partnership, Himalaya is therefore well-equipped to set up line stations with improved workshop capability and expand the engineering industry’s future area for other airlines’ profit generation.
