Wide-body aircraft with registration 9N-ALZ of National flag carrier Nepal Airlines has been grounded after a bird hit while arriving Kathmandu from Kuwait at 8:30 AM yesterday.
According to the airport office, one of the engines of the aircraft has suffered minor damage. Nepal Airlines has stated that it will take another 4-5 days to repair it and make it airworthy again.
Even if the aircraft is grounded, the scheduled flight will not be affected, the airlines said. Nepal Airlines has four aircraft in line for international flights.
As the government’s decision Nepal Airlines is regularly in action of conducting reparation flight.
