Air Arabia collects Cargo from Nepal on behalf of DHL

An Airbus A320 aircraft of Air Arabia landed at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) today. Air Arabia made this visit at TIA during lock-down period for the collection of Cargo of an international Currier company DHL from Nepal. Because of lock-down and international flights ban at Nepal and all major countries of the world for COVID-19 spread control DHL was unable to circulate its international courier from Nepal.

The aircraft landed at 12:20 PM today and returned back with 7 tonnes of courier of the company. The aircraft with flight number ‘G9539’ departed from Sharjah International Airport for Kathmandu, Nepal. The aircraft took off from Kathmandu at 01:05 PM with the collected courier.

However, this is the third time the carrier has paid its visit in Kathmandu after the international flight ban in the country. It has already conducted a passenger repartition flight on April 17. And the carrier conducted another cargo supply flight to Nepal on May 04. The cargo as gifted aid to Nepal by Government of UAE to battle the COVID-19 spread in the country.

On April 29, an Etihad Airways A330 aircraft also conducted a cargo flight to Nepal carrying the medical equipment and supplies aid by the Government of UAE to Nepal.
