Russia repatriates over 143 nationals from Nepal – PHOTO FEATURES

The Government of Russia conducted its first repatriation flight today to evacuate 143 of its nationals who were stranded in Nepal after the countrywide lockdown was imposed by the government.

As per the Russian Embassy, Royal Flight, a charter airline company based in Abakan, Republic of Khakassia, Russia, conducted the repatriation flight which was the first repatriation flight organized by the Russian Embassy.

The flight was conducted by a Boeing 757-200 aircraft with registration ‘VP-BOO’ and had a flight identification number of ABG9004. The flight took off at 12:42 PM today from Kathmandu and will be landing at Moscow Sheremetyevo International Airport via Yangon (Myanmar).

Qatar Airways conducted 10 flights, Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) conducted eight flights, Korean Air conducted two flights, while Titan Airways conducted three flights. Meanwhile, Etihad, Czech Airline, Malindo Air, Malaysian Airlines, Air Arabia, Shree Airlines and Buddha Air conducted one repatriation flight each, respectively.
