Nepal Airlines’ gets permission for an evacuation flight to Bangladesh

Nepal National Flag Carrier Nepal Airlines Corporation is making a chartered evacuation flight to Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Dhaka on 19th April 2020, Tomorrow.

As per the source, CAA Nepal granted NAC the permission to carry evacuation flight on 18th April 2020. An aircraft Airbus A320 9N-AKW, Flight No. RA4561 will depart to Dhaka at 10:00 AM tomorrow carrying 18 Maldivians Nationals from here. It is informed that they will be flying back to the Maldives from Bangladesh.

The aircraft RA4562 will return back afternoon tomorrow. The aircraft while returning back to Nepal will be flying empty.

The pilots for the flight RA4561 are Capt. Prashanta Rai and F/O Rajesh Kushawaha and flight RA4562 are Capt. Rabindra Kumar Sherchan and F/O Udhab Ghimire.

Likewise, Buddha Air had also conducted a chartered flight to Dhaka in Bangladesh on 14th April 2020. The Embassy of Bangladesh in Nepal repatriated 13 Bangladeshi nationals on Tuesday via Buddha Air.

During the current COVID-19 crisis, national flag carrier Nepal Airlines has been operating passenger repatriation flights on behalf of Organizations and Government, as well as providing aircraft for the movement of cargo for essential needs.
