Nepal Airlines conducting 5 evacuation flights to Lukla tomorrow

National Flag Carrier is going to conduct 5 scheduled flights to Lukla Airport tomorrow. The flights have been scheduled to evacuate the foreigners stranded at Lukla Airport since the lockdown of country. Similarly, a Summit Air flight ‘9N-AKZ’ will also be evacuating passengers from Lukla tomorrow.

Two DHC-6 Twin Otter aircrafts ‘9N-ABT’ and ‘9N-ABU’ would be flying for Lukla with special mission tomorrow. The flights will depart 6:30 AM, 6:35 AM, 8:30 AM, 8:35 AM and 10:30 AM tomorrow.

Similarly a Y-12E aircraft of the carrier is flying to Nepalgunj tomorrow at 10:00 AM. An unconfirmed report has revealed that the flight would be conducted specially to bring Corona Virus infection suspicious samples.

Tara Air has already made two shuttles to Lukla from Kathmandu, each yesterday and today. The next will be the Summit Air. Yeti Airlines and Buddha Air also have flew once to evacuate passengers stranded at Pokhara Airport.

Government has made a special provision of permitting special evacuation flight mission even in the period of lockdown. This has provided the privilege to carriers to withdraw foreigners stranded at different parts of the country due to lockdown.
