Buddha Air, leading air carrier of Nepal is set to increase flight to Surkhet airport.
The airline which is performing 1 daily flight to the airport will be operating 2 daily flights now onward. The airline is set to increase flight from 16 June 2019.
Buddha Air is currently operating morning flight to the airport at 8 AM and return flight at 9:30 AM. Starting from 16 June, the airline will add flight in evening sector. Buddha Air will operate flight at 4 PM with return flight at 5:30PM.
Buddha Air currently owns 12 aircraft that includes 2 Beechcraft B1900D, 3 ATR 42-320 and 7 ATR 72-500 series aircraft.
The airline is providing services to Nepalgunj, Bhairahawa, Bharatpur, Simara, Janakpur, Biratnagar, Bhadrapur, Pokhara, Dhangadi, Birendranagar and Tumlingtar from TIA along with Mountain Flights as well as flights to Indian city Varanasi.
The airlie is also set to increase its flight in international sector and is set to operate to neighboring country cities including Kolkata from 27 May and to Guwahati from August 3.
The airline has already allocated fare for Kolkata flight and the fare for two way ticket is set to NRs. 22,000. The carrier has allocated NRs. 10,440 from Kathmandu-Kolkata flights whereas NRs. 11,560 for Kolkata-Kathmandu flights.
Buddha Air will be operating 3 weekly flights on Kathmandu-Calcutta-Kathmandu sector on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 2076 Jestha 13. The airline will be operating flights initially from their current aircraft ATR-72.
The airline has also proposed plan to build hanger at Pokhara Regional International Airport so as to commence international flight from the airport after the airport comes into operation.
Established on 23 April 1996, with a fleet of a Beech-craft 1900D manufactured by Raytheon Aircraft (now Hawker Beech-craft), Buddha Air is the largest domestic airline operator of Nepal.
