The assessment of technical devices at TIA started

The testing of various technical equipment installed at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) has been started.

TIA officials stated that testing of technical tools is going on under the regular testing programs of the devices connected at TIA.

According to the rules of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the examination of equipment should be done every year.

Pratap Babu Tiwari, spokesperson of TIA stated that the repair and testing of technical devices are being carried out under the rules of ICAO.

Spokesperson Tiwari informed that the testing of equipment was started from April 23 (Baisakh 10) and will run till 3 weeks i.e May 18 (Jestha 4).

Radar is a detection system that uses radio waves to determine the range, angle, or velocity of objects. It can be used to detect aircraft, ships, spacecraft, guided missiles, motor vehicles, weather formations, and terrain.

The calibration is being done for testing these devices on a regular basis.

Previously, US America tested the technical devices of TIA whereas Aeronautical Radio of Thailand (Aerothai) is conducting the test this year.

The authority informed that there are 7 members in a team. The team will submit detailed reports about the status of all devices after examining the devices.

Similarly, if any device is malfunctioning then the team will recommend for repairing it immediately whereas the rest of the work would be done after the examining.

Aerothai will test only the technical devices of TIA.
