The world’s largest corporate golf tournament, Turkish Airlines World Gold Cup (TAWGC) will be played at Gokarna Forest Resort, Kathmandu from 11 May 2019.
According to the organizer, fifteen players of Gokarna Golf Club, five players from Nepal Army, three from Dharan Golf Club and two players from Pokhara will be participating in the tournament.
Abdullah Tuncer Kecici, General Manager of Turkish Airlines Kathmandu stated, “We are thrilled to be back in Kathmandu with the TAWGC and a new group of golfers at our event has become a highlight on the region’s calendar over the past two years.”

The airline established the World Golf Cup in 2013 as part of a groundbreaking golf programme that includes the Turkish Airlines Open European Tour Tournament, the Turkish Airlines Challenge Tour event and backing for ladies’ golf, while every Turkish Airlines passenger can take clubs for free.
Turkish airlines has recently shifted its hub to Istanbul airport which is one of the biggest airports in the world.
