NAC to operate scheduled flights to Japan after 12 years

Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC), the national flag carrier has received approval for a direct flight from Kathmandu to Osaka nearly after 1 year.

The corporation has received approval of filed ticket fare by Japan Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB) on April 25, 2019. NAC is preparing to publish the flight schedule shortly.

National flag carrier will open ticket booking as it will operate scheduled flights from May 2 (Ashar 19).

NAC will operate scheduled flights to Kansai International Airport at Osaka from Tribhuvan International Airport.

Nawaraj Koirala, NAC Assistant Spokesperson stated that the corporation has allocated NRs. 45000 ticket price for one way and NRs. 80000 for two ways.

NAC will operate long haul flights with its two 274 seat capacity aircraft which were brought on June 28 and July 26, 2019.

The corporation also continues to endeavor to allow flight operation in other destinations of Japan, Narita.

The corporation does not have to reduce the flight number of any destinations in order to conduct flights to Japan. The wide-body aircraft will operate for 15 hours daily.

Likewise, NAC has added 3 flights to New Delhi from May 1 conducting 2 flights daily.

The corporation is also preparing to operate flights China, South Korea, Riyadh and to other European countries.

NAC will be operating regular flight to Japan after 12 years.

Previously, NAC used to operate 2 flights weekly and stopped its flight services due to lack of aircraft.

NAC has prepared 3 slots between Osaka and Kathmandu for flights of 7 and half hours on average.
