NAC to operate 2 daily Flights to Tarigaun from tomorrow

Tarigaun airport located at Dang will be operating 2 scheduled daily flights from tomorrow.

Tank Nidhi Dahal, commercial director of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) stated that 2 daily flights will be operated from April 1, 2019.

As per the increase in demands, 2 daily flights are required, he said. In order to meet the demands, NAC will be operating 2 flights daily from April 1 (Chaitra 18), Monday, he added.

The corporation has allocated the air ticket price from Kathmandu to Dang at NRs. 6070 whereas from Dang and Kathmandu at NRs. 5,880 and has been flying at 11:45 am from Kathmandu to Dang and back to Kathmandu in the afternoon at 1:20 pm.

Earlier, NAC used to operate 2 flights weekly but later on, the corporation decreased flight frequency and started operating 1 flight weekly. Likewise, Summit Air had been conducting 1 weekly flight to the airport.

With the news of increasing flight, locals have been pleased and are happy with the decision.

Dang airport which came into operation in 1954 AD has been irregular in its services due to lack of refueling facilities and improper runway. Airline operators also did not show interest to operate at Dang stating the airport lacked many infrastructures.
