Nepal Shipping and logistic appointed as CSA of Ethiopian airlines

Ethiopian Airlines, the flag carrier and the largest carrier in Africa wholly owned by the country’s government which had proposed to become a partner with Nepalese National flag carrier Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has recently appointed its Cargo Sales Agent (CSA) in Nepal.

The airline has appointed Nepal Shipping and Air logistic Pvt. Ltd. as its CSA.

The airline and the shipping company signed agreement on Wednesday last week in a program. The agreement is set to increase future trade of the Nepal Shipping and logistic company in Africa through the airline and to other countries as well.

The officials of the company welcomed the airlines officials and guests and expressed their potential of expanding trade in Africa and other areas and the carrier officials also stated about their expanding network throughout the world.

Ethiopian airline had recently proposed to become strategic partner of NAC by signing Passenger and Cargo SPA to improve the passengers and Cargo sales out of Nepal.

Since Nepal and Ethiopia established diplomatic relations in 1964, the two countries have offered very little to each other. The pace of bilateral relations gained momentum after Ethiopia appointed an honorary consul in Nepal in 2015, he said.

Ethiopia has urged Nepal to open a residential mission in the capital Addis Ababa which also hosts the Secretariat of the African Union.

Ethiopian Airlines presently owns a fleet of 108 aircraft and serves 125 international and domestic destinations. It wants to join forces with NAC as part of its bid to establish multiple hubs beyond the African continent.
