Buddha Air, leading domestic private carrier of Nepal, is preparing to extend its quality air service with addition of three ATR 72 series aircraft. The carrier prepared a plan to procure 4 ATR 72 series out of which one ATR 72 with registration ‘9N-AMU’ arrived on 3rd July, 2018.
The next ATR 72 will arrive within six months from now on as necessary permissions from Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) have already been acquired.
At present, domestic airline companies are competing each other with the addition of aircraft and expansion of their services.
Buddha Air is making an investment of Rs 4 billion to purchase four ATR 72-500 series aircraft to extend their flight operation to different cities of India.
The airlines is providing services to Nepalgunj, Bhairahawa, Bharatpur, Simara, Janakpur, Biratnagar, Bhadrapur, Pokhara, Dhangadi and Tumlingtar from TIA along with Mountain Flights. Buddha Air recently celebrated its completion of 21 years of service in Nepali Aviation Market with ATR company officials.
