Buddha Air completes 21 years of service and a decade with ATR; from the press meet with ATR and the company

Buddha Air today organized a press meet in its hangar at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) with ATR company officials to celebrate completion of 21 year of its service in Nepal’s aviation sector. Budhha air has also completed 10 years of operating ATR aircraft.

In the program, Managing Director of the airline Mr. Birendra Bahadur Basnet, Executive officer of the airline Ms. Astha Basnet were seated along with Head of service and sales of ATR eastern support Mr. Billy Oh and Mr. Kabindra Ghimire, Director of ATR eastern support.

To inaugurate the program, Mr. Basnet of Buddha aircraft provided Token of Love to Mr. Billy Oh of ATR Company.

 

Mr. Birendra Bahadur Basnet had stated about progress the airline has done in last 21 years since its inception and shared happiness of being country’s largest and longest operating private airlines during the program. He stated about all the progress the airline has done from operating Beechcraft 1900 D aircraft to Atr72-500 aircraft which are now operating to 15 destinations of Nepal as well as neighboring country India. He also thanked ATR companies which has helped them in recent times.

Mr. Basnet also stated about their hangar facility which is the only MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) hangar in Nepal which conduct maintenance work of various aircraft even of international airlines. He also stated about their plan to do international flight with base from Pokhara by having 30% share of the airline, 30% to any interested strategic partner and rest to Public.

Mr. Billy Oh also congratulated the airline for its success and said to help the airline in future and maintain their relation.

The airline also gave quick visit to its hangar and facility to all the attendants.
