The newly arrived ATR 72-500 series aircraft of Yeti Airlines commenced its first scheduled flight starting this morning. The aircraft with flight number ‘NYT891’ departed to Bhairahawa Airport from Tribhuvan International Airport A(TIA) at 8:40 am and landed at 9:10 pm local time. The aircraft also returned back to Kathmandu in a scheduled flight with flight number ‘NYT892’ at 9:47 AM this morning.
An official of Yeti Airlines stated that before operating the commercial flight, the aircraft also successfully conducted test flight today morning. According to flightradar24, the test flight was scheduled at 6:50 am.
The carrier will conduct 2 flights daily with its ATR to Bhadrapur and 8-9 daily flights will be conducted to Pokhara, he added. Previously, the carrier used to conduct scheduled flights to Bhadrapur and Pokhara with its Jetstream41series aircraft.
Yeti Airlines welcomed 3rd ATR with MSN-776 that landed at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) on September 18, 2018, at 02:10 PM NST approximately at 1450 hours after its flight from France-Toulouse-Italy-Egypt via Muscat to Kathmandu Nepal. The airline had received second ATR 72-500 with registration ‘9N-AMM’ on September 15, 2017, whereas its first-ever ATR 72-212A series aircraft registered with ‘9N-AMN’ landed on July 22, 2017, in Nepal. The company has plans to add a total of 4 ATR72s within 2019 out of which one will be acquired in 2018.

The airline presently owns 6 BAE Jetstream 41 and 3 ATR 72-500 operating flights to Biratnagar, Pokhara, Bhadrapur, Bharatpur, Janakpur, Bhairahawa, and Nepalgunj along with mountain flights while its subsidiary Tara Air fleet includes two Dornier Do 228, three De Havilland Canada DHC-6-300 Twin Otter and one Viking Air DHC-6-400 Twin Otter operating flights to Simikot, Jomsom, Bajura, Jumla, Lukla, Phaplu, Rara and so on.
