The bodies of deceased people recovered from an Altitude Air helicopter crash site have been brought to Kathmandu today. The bodies were brought to Trishuli Hospital, Bidur, Nuwakot today morning and then airlifted to TU Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj, Kathmandu.
The locals and police officials actively worked to recover the bodies from the crash site. The crashed chopper did not catch fire, however, due to vibrant terrain and adverse weather conditions, the rescuers struggled hard to carry out the rescue.
The deceased people on the crash are identified as Captain Nischal K.C., Japanese national Hiromi Komatsu (68), Nepali citizens namely Dilli Bahadur Gurung (40), Hira Sherpa of (37), Chowang Sherpa (22) and Sunil Tamang (22).
Rescuers recovered six bodies from the accident site. Lho Ani Dolma Diki the only survivor of the crash has been airlifted to Medicity Hospital by Simrik Air’s Helicopter yesterday.
An Altitude Air ‘9N-ALS’ Airbus H125 helicopter crashed into the dense SatyaDevi forest of Dhading district at 5500 feet killing six on board, leaving only a woman passenger alive.
